This October has been nominated as European Cyber Security Month (ECSM). It is the third time when cyber domain and corresponding threats are raised on the spot in the European Union. ECSM aims to promote cyber security among citizens, to change their perception of cyber threats and to provide up to date security information, through education and sharing good practices.
The main role in order to promote ECSM activities is designated to ENISA, European Union Agency for Network and Information Security. The kick off event for the month was convened in Brussels on the 1st of October. In that event it was emphasized in a number of speeches that we need to make online security the “new normal”, as ordinary as locking your front door in the morning.
Cinia Group is engaged actively with ECSM activities. As cyber domain is namely the core business environment for Cinia, it is of our highest importance to commit ourselves to the aims of ECSM. For Cinia Group cyber security has two main drivers, enabler of more sustainable digital business for the industry and an important part of everyday business.
Our goal is that in coming years high level cyber secure services and know-how will be associated with Cinia Group. We will reach our goal by training our employees in cyber and information security, exploiting advanced technology and networking with respected authorities and top-level partners.
Digitalized world plays an important role in all aspects of our lives as citizens, in any business we are dealing with, living in an independent state – and working and interacting in a global environment. That’s why European Cyber Security Month, and equivalent campaigns, have an increasing importance to trains us all to act properly in this new domain – cyber domain.
